Our Story
Stone Coat started with two brothers who believed there had to be a better way to create beautiful, high-end surfaces without the high price and complexity of traditional materials.
After years of working in the countertop industry, they saw firsthand how expensive materials, specialized installation, and complicated processes could put dream projects out of reach for everyday homeowners. They wanted to create a simpler, more affordable way to get the look of high-end surfaces without the high-end price.
That idea became Stone Coat.
Our Idea
While installing countertops, the brothers discovered that epoxy—the same type of material used for gluing, seaming, and repairs—could be transformed into a durable, customizable surface when properly formulated, colored, and applied.
What if homeowners could use that technology to create the look of marble, granite, quartz, and other stone surfaces themselves?
That question sparked the foundation of Stone Coat: developing products that make it possible to transform existing surfaces into something completely new.
Over time, that idea grew beyond countertops. Today, Stone Coat products are used to create polyaspartic and epoxy countertops, interior flooring and garage floors, shower walls, woodworking projects, resin art, and other custom surfaces.
And with newer coating technology like APEX Polyaspartic, we're continuing to expand what's possible for both DIYers and professionals.
