Outperforms others

Engineered for strength, our flake flooring system forms an unbreakable bond with your concrete. It’s so tough, the concrete gives out before our coating does.

The Stone Coat flake flooring system makes it easy to achieve a durable, great-looking floor. Each product works together to prep, prime, and protect your space. Here’s how it all comes together:

Floor Patch Epoxy Gel

Cures strong for long-lasting, repairs that bond tightly to concrete

Creates a solid foundation for long-term adhesion
Helps extend the life of your entire flooring system

Floor Flake

Adds color, texture, personality, and durability to your floors
Wide range of colors and blends to create a custom finish
Helps hide imperfections in the concrete surface

Polyaspartic Flooring Top Coat

Non-Skid Floor Additive

Ideal for commercial or high-use residential spaces
Gloss and matte finishes enhance flake color and depth

How many pounds of floor flake do I need per square foot?

For full flake coverage, plan on using 0.25 pounds of floor flake per square foot. Just multiply the square footage of your space by 0.25 to get the total pounds you’ll need.

Example: A 400 sq. ft. floor will need about 100 lbs of flake.

How long will it take to install my flake floor, and when can I start using it?

Most flake floor installations can be completed in a single weekend. Prep and application typically take 1–2 days, depending on the size of your space and drying times between steps.

After the final top coat is applied, you can walk on your floor within 24-36 hours and move heavy items or drive on it after 7 days.

How long will my flake floor last?

It depends on the quality of the system you install. The basic single-layer DIY kits sold in most big box stores typically last 3–7 years, especially in high-traffic areas.

With our professional-grade polyaspartic/epoxy flooring system, full flake broadcast, and protective topcoats, your floor can last 20 years+ before needing repair or replacement.

Keep in mind—proper surface prep and correct application are key to getting the longest life from your floor. Follow our step-by-step guide for the best results!

What should I use to prep and clean for my project?

For proper adhesion and a flawless finish, DO NOT use acetone at any stage of your project.

Instead, use 91% isopropyl alcohol for:
• Cleaning and prepping the surface before application
• Wiping between coats or layers

Acetone can interfere with bonding and compromise the final result. Stick with 91% isopropyl alcohol to ensure durability and a professional-grade finish.
