Prime & Seal

Broadcast Polymer Flake
- While primer is still tacky, generously spread flakes by hand
- Fully cover the surface until no wet spots remain

- Add Non-Skid Floor Additive for extra grip, if desired
- Let cure fully before walking or driving on the surface

For full flake coverage, plan on using 0.25 pounds of flake per square foot. Just multiply the square footage of your space by 0.25 to get the total pounds you’ll need.
Example: A 400 sq. ft. floor will need about 100 lbs of flake.

Most flake floor installations can be completed in a single weekend. Prep and application typically take 1–2 days, depending on the size of your space and drying times between steps.
After the final top coat is applied, you can walk on your floor within 24-36 hours and move heavy items or drive on it after 7 days.

It depends on the quality of the system you install. The basic single-layer DIY kits sold in most big box stores typically last 3–7 years, especially in high-traffic areas.
