Woodshop Epoxy Ultra Deep is a crystal-clear casting epoxy formulated for large-volume pours up to 3 inches thick in a single layer, ideal for river tables, encapsulations, and deep molds. Its ultra-slow gel time, low exotherm, and long open time allow for excellent air release, clarity, and control—especially in complex or large castings.
Pouring in a cooler environment and directing cool airflow beneath the mold can safely increase the pour depth for larger pieces. In smaller molds, step pours up to 8 inches total are achievable when the first layer is poured again at gel stage (firm but tacky). This low-VOC, UV-resistant epoxy is compatible with PolyColor Liquid Epoxy Dyes and PolyColor Metallic Pigment Powder.
Always prepare and seal porous edges with Woodshop Epoxy Penetrate to reduce bubbles and improve bonding. After full cure, finish with Woodshop Epoxy Flood Coat for a smooth, glass-like surface.

Yes! Woodshop Epoxy lasts about 12 months in sealed containers. For best results:

- Reseal containers tightly after each use
Older or improperly stored epoxy can crystallize or yellow. If in doubt, mix a small test batch in a disposable cup to make sure it cures properly before starting your project.
