Resurfacing your countertops with Stone Coat epoxy is a snap when you prepare properly.
Cover: Protect your floors and cabinets with plastic and painter's tape.
Sand: Abrade your existing countertop with sandpaper.
Clean: Wipe away dust and clean the sanded surface to remove any dirt and grease.
Creating long-lasting epoxy countertops starts with the RIGHT primers.
Apply: Roll on a two coat layer of our Bonding Primer & Sealer and two coats of our Epoxy Undercoat.
Wait: Make sure the undercoat is completely dry before pouring your color coat of epoxy!
Pouring epoxy countertops is creative, fun, and a little addictive!
Mix: Start by mixing our countertop epoxies at a 1:1 ratio.
Tint: Portion the mixed epoxy into smaller containers and tint with your favorite, metallic pigment powders, glitters, or epoxy dyes.
Pour: Dispense and spread the epoxy evenly across your primed surface with gloved hands or a trowel. Pop any air bubbles with a propane torch.
Maintain and protect your countertops means using the “Ultimate” top coat.
For ultra scratch resistance and a natural textured sheen, apply our Ultimate Top Coat instead of, or in addition to, a clear epoxy flood coat. Just mix with water, roll onto your epoxy surface, and enjoy long-lasting, durable countertops for years to come.
